There, at the mysterious deep blue sea
the unknown beauty fascinates me.
My dearest always calls my name
and the pain lets my proud heart bleed.
So I jump into the angry waves
which are dragging my ship down in the depth.
She tears me deeper and deeper
but I feel so safe in her arms.

Right into unknown worlds
that he won’t sense anymore…

Salvaged on the ocean bed
his bride is waiting for him.
She gives him a joyful smile
even if he can’t see it anymore.
She cuddles him close to her chest
strokes his deathly pale face tenderly.
And she surrenders to her tears
to this love full of mourning.

It hurts so much in her heart
this love full of mourning…

For an instant a dream came true,
they were so close together like never before.
But the price for it was way too high
their love sank in the deep blue sea...

Anmerkung von Mondsichel:

Der Text ist inspiriert von dem Märchen "Die kleine Seejungfrau" von Hans Christian Andersen. Es handelt sich um die tragische Liebe zwischen einem Krieger der See und einer Meerjungfrau. Doch anders als im Märchen, findet hier der Krieger den Tod, da er die Liebe nicht aufgeben will... und so bleibt am Ende nur die Liebe voller Trauer. Denn sie wurde nie erfüllt... Doch stellt sich die Frage: Hat er nur geträumt oder war es die Wirklichkeit?
