The internet started as a promising project with a positive atitude and an increasing goldrush. Soon negative elements showed up like internet pornography, spam mails, identity theft, fishing mails and meanwhile the serious problem of fake news. The internet has reached a level where it is not used for learning, improving your skills, publishing photos and stories, or offering your web design work. It has reached a level where youths became addicted to the online material, in the worst case suffer trauma from online bullying and blackmail with photos, sexist and racist insults. Chat services which were in the beginning for communication reasons meanwhile degraded to places for conspiracies and creating hate. Today we have to ask seriously the question whether the internet is still positive for a reasonable developement of the human race. Besides the online criminality, online hate and bullying, we have reached the point where some parts of the internet are still no more a place and a market for selling goods with fair methods. Meanwhile the internet with its big players like ebay, amazon and alibaba have reached a point where it is about mass commerce and earning billions while the quality of the products is no longer guaranteed and it gets difficult to get your money back when you are cheated. There are no real instruments to regulate these negative developements on the former information highway what the world wide web was called in the beginning. The big players complain immediately when a regulation is discussed. Especially the hate speech and the mass propaganda which urgently needed a form of regulation got out of hand that even the danger of war is increased by hate speech, fake news and propaganda videos. Society has reached a point where decisions have to be met. But we are far away from this point. New technical developements made of the former information highway, a kind of stop-and-go trafficing, as long as it is not about your money which can be quickly remitted from your account. On the other hand if you want to get information or read news you have to pass password verifications, pay walls, country registrations, you have to agree to cookies, clean your cachees, verify your age, send a copy of your passport, or fill in your credit card number to reach the next level of verification. Things are getting more and more complicated and the old ones drop out and can't handle the internet technique any longer. When you think about the collected data about your person, all your needs and interests you possibly get mad because the surveillance topic got out of hand as well. Data mining and data fishing is a new business where you have to ask youself if things are done for your sake or to blackmail you later.
